Label Films - Polypropylene
Polypropylene was introduced to the pressure sensitive label market as a biaxially oriented stock comprised of three layers: a center core layer, and two treated layers, for printability and adhesion. Since then, polypropylene has evolved to become one of the most popular and versatile films. It is offered in clear, white, or metallized, and is flexible (but not squeezable) and cost-effective. Typically 1 to 3 mils are used for a variety of applications in prime labeling, health/beauty, cosmetics, coupon base and beverages. As an added advantage, polypropylene meets most standards and regulations for children's packaging, so is ideal for toys and stickers. Kimdura and synthetic paper are both polypropylene label stocks.
